Helloooooo, writer! It’s Yuletide! It’s Yuletide!

This is my first time officially doing Yuletide, although I wrote a NYR last year as a way of dipping my toe into the ~Yuletide waters~. That made me even more excited about participating this year. And now it’s finally here! I hope I can make somebody happy and not give them coal - I will #trymybest (tm Rafa Nadal).

I don’t really know how to do this letter thing, but I’ll do my best. :) [Oh, and I'm polkadot on AO3, not polkad0tting, fyi.]

Basic: Gen, plus all kinds of pairings (slash, femslash, het).
In romance: Snark, fond teasing, zaniness, affection masked with humor, snuggling in bed, people in love who enjoy spending time together but aren’t codependent.
In porn: Kissing, exploring a partner’s body, unexpected erogenous zones, talking during sex, sex that doesn’t go quite right but they run with it and make it awesome anyway, pegging, incoherent noises, morning sex, non-penetrative sex (not in opposition to penetrative sex, just in addition), fingering for the sake of fingering not in preparation for anything else, wall-sex, laughter.

Squick list
Basic: Infidelity, bullying of any kind, cruel jokes, noncon, dubcon, incest, bestiality, underage.
In romance: Gaslighting, too much neediness, characters who are in love but don’t seem to really like each other very much.
In porn: Someone kissing their partner after rimming them without washing their mouth out first, bad dirty talk, not checking in on their partner’s comfort and pleasure.

SLEEPING BEAUTY (1959) [requested characters: Flora, Fauna, Merryweather]

I love these three. They’re awesome. In this fandom I’m mostly interested in their adventures raising Briar Rose. How did three fairies adjust to raising a baby without being able to use their magic? How did they get along? What were their relationships like?

I’m kind of looking for something along the lines of “Flora and Merryweather are squabbling again over who should make breakfast, so Fauna takes Briar Rose into a nook to read a book and rock her to sleep. Later Flora will come to squawk indignantly at her about Merryweather’s intractableness, and Fauna will know Flora isn’t really mad but just wants a sympathetic ear, so she’ll say ‘Yes, dear,’ and carefully pull Flora’s head down to kiss her without waking up the sleeping baby.”

Or, if you aren't really that fluffy, I'd adore a fic that went a bit more into the background of fairy politics and how their world works. I really really loved this fic about Maleficent, for example. Fairy politics is awesome and any of it involving Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather would be even more awesome. :)

Either gen or femslash would be wonderful. (If you do femslash I don't mind which two you pair up, or if you have them in a triad.) Mostly I want them being their awesome selves together! :) And Briar Rose doesn’t have to be a baby, she can be a kid who wanders off/asks difficult questions/is being taught by Merryweather to sing songs of dubious artistic merit/etc.

NECROMANCER CHRONICLES - AMANDA DOWNUM [requested characters: Savedra, Ashlin]

I just finished reading The Bone Palace, and I love it so much. So many wonderful, wonderful characters!

I'm completely smitten with Savedra and Ashlin both. If you write me a story about either or both of them, I will adore you. You may already have an idea about what you'd love to write, and if you do, go for it! But if not, some ideas: anything with Savedra and her mother, with all the complicated love of that relationship. Ashlin's life before she was betrothed, or her adjustment to married life. Savedra and Ashlin's first meeting - do they confound everyone around them by not acting like they "should"? Savedra and Nikos's first meeting. Ashlin's POV on basically anything - I burn to know what she was thinking during basically every one of her scenes! How did Ashlin first realise she was falling in love with Savedra? Finally, happy Ashlin/Savedra after Nikos accepts them and they no longer have to feel guilty about being together would be absolutely lovely. (If you ship Ashlin/Savedra/Nikos, I'd enjoy reading that too, as long as the POV character is either of the women.)

I only requested Savedra and Ashlin, but if you offered Khelsea and/or Isyllt and want to write them, I'd be cool with that. Khelsea is quite simply awesome. I'd love to see what events looked like from her POV, and I adored the snippets we got about her relationship with her girlfriend. Khelsea-focused fic, with or without worldbuilding of what it means to be a Vigil and work with the kind of people Khelsea has to work with, would be amazing. As for Isyllt, I'd rather not read fic about her and Kirilos or her and Ciaran, but if you're interested in writing Isyllt & Savedra, I love their scenes in canon. (And Isyllt & Khelsea - I don't ship them, being fully convinced of Khelsea/Khelsea's girlfriend, but I love love love their friendship.)

TRICKSTERS - TAMORA PIERCE [requested characters: Dovasary Balitang, Saraiyu Balitang]

I would love to see what Dove and Sarai were thinking and planning and dreaming during the books. Particularly in Trickster’s Queen. I love Dove for her intelligence and astuteness and level head, and I love Sarai for her spirit and her determination to find her own happiness. I particularly love them together, but if you can’t make that work, focusing primarily on one of them is okay too.

What does Dove think of Aly? What do Dove and Sarai discuss when nobody’s around to hear them? What are Sarai’s feelings as the boat sails away, with Zaimid there to hold her but no guarantee she’ll ever see her family and homeland again? What is Sarai’s reaction when word reaches her and Zaimid that Dove is Queen?

If you want to write shippy fic, that’s fine too! I’d prefer the focus to stay on either or both of the sisters, but I like romance, it’s great. If you want to ship Dove, though – with Aly or Aly and Nawat, probably? – please have it be set after she comes of age. Sarai I ship with Zaimid, and I’d love to see the missing scenes of their courtship. :) Oh, and please don’t ship the sisters together.

19TH CENTURY CE RPF [requested characters: William Gladstone, Benjamin Disraeli, Mary Anne Disraeli, Queen Victoria]

Yes, this is the request where I ask for Dizzystone slash, with Mary Anne and Queen Victoria being awesome and snarky. :D

Now which direction this request goes is very much up to you, dear writer. Are you in the mood for slow-build simmering denied-attraction that eventually bursts tight collars and is triumphantly succumbed to at last? Go for it! (With arch comments being provided by Mary Anne and amusement by Queen Victoria.) Are you more inclined to silly zaniness with Dizzy admiring Gladstone’s arse and Mary Anne prodding him into making a move and Queen Victoria sighing that she can’t see what her Dizzy sees in a dude like that? More power to you! Are you a gen writer who is going not Dizzystone nooooo? Then write something about Mary Anne and Queen Victoria bonding over metaphorical popcorn at the continual battles between Dizzy and Gladstone!

[And in case that last option sounds OOC to you, have this anecdote from Wikipedia: “Even Queen Victoria herself was said to be amused when Mary Anne commented, in response to a remark about some lady's pale complexion, ‘I wish you could see my Dizzy in his bath!’”]

Basically, dear writer, if you have offered to write these four characters, you can write anything you please, and it will make me happy. :)

Well, that’s not entirely true, I suppose – I know Gladstone canonically whipped himself over his sexual urges, and was creepy to prostitutes in the name of “saving them”, and things like that, and I’d rather darker aspects like that weren’t in the fic. But anything fluffy and/or silly and/or faintly ridiculous in the grand tradition of Dizzystone, I will adore it!

TENNIS RPF [requested characters: David Ferrer, Feliciano Lopez]

I would really love a story with these two guys being in love and being awesome together. I am equally fond of falling-in-love and established relationship stories, so either would be amazing! I absolutely adore the Armada and how smushy and affectionate it is, so setting Ferru and Feli against the backdrop of the other guys would be perfect (but them on their own would be great too).

Maybe Feli is trying to plan a birthday party for Ferru and enlists Nico and Nando’s help (with mixed results). Maybe all the Armada guys are planning a massive prank on Rafa to celebrate his return to tennis/his amazing year, spearheaded by Ferru and Feli (who disagree on how exactly this prank should be carried out, and have involved discussions about it, until finally Tommy rolls his eyes and takes charge instead). Maybe they aren’t together yet but over the course of a tournament they gradually become aware that they’re into each other and – perhaps with the help and prodding of some of the Armada? – finally get together. Maybe Ferru wins a grand slam, hugs his trophy tight, and takes Feli as his date to the winners’ ball (shamelesssss wish-fulfillment, lol). Or maybe they decide to play doubles together in a slam and win the title! (Probably more likely than Ferru winning on his own.)

Or maybe you want to go porny instead! Shameless Ferru/Feli porn would be awesome. I think Ferru is one of the most devastatingly handsome men I’ve ever seen, so lots of description of his jawline/his hair/how much Feli enjoys kissing him/Feli stealing the breath out of his mouth/etc., would be really awesome. I really like porn but I especially like it when you can really tell who the characters are, not the bits that seem like they come out of a generic porn movie, if that makes sense? Ferru is very shy – or so he says; is he shy in the bedroom too, needing Feli to take charge and tease him until he loses his inhibitions, or is he a firebrand more like he is on the court, throwing Feli down on the bed and climbing on top and biting at his hipbone?

(And, um, if you like orgies I could imagine a very hot fic with Rafa/Marc joining Feli/Ferru. Rafa and Feli have always been close, and I think the hotness of those four in one place might just blow my mind. Same notes about characterization apply.)

Finally, if you’re a gen writer, I really don’t mind if you wrote a Ferru/Feli fic that didn’t have any porn whatsoever! Fic that focused on their adventures and escapades together, and/or on their tennis, is perfectly lovely too. I’d appreciate it if they could be in a relationship even if it wasn’t really discussed, but if you only want them to be friends that’s okay. Just please don’t put them in other relationships for this fic. (I love Marta Tornel but this Yuletide I want Ferru & Feli.)

Oh, one last note – I love basically EVERYBODY in tennis, so besides the Armada feel free to introduce your own favourite guys if you need more people. :) The only guys I don’t like and don’t want to see around (unless you’re making them villains): Janko Tipsarevic, Michal Llodra, Sergei Stakhovsky, Daniel Nestor, Radek Stepanek, and Gilles Simon. Oh, and I’d rather if Roger & Andy & Novak weren’t main characters, even though I like them, because they have loads of fic and I’d like to see other guys. ;)

And Sleeping Beauty fairies have been my favourite since I was LITTLE, and I always kind of shipped them (changing my mind on whether Flora & Fauna or Flora & Merryweather were together), even before I knew I was a baby lesbian. (My other first ship was Tigger & Rabbit. I may have a type.)
